Ortiz really struggling.. 0 homeruns still and I witnessed another 2-0 fastball down the pipe hit 200 feet for a pop out again. Can he turn this thing around or is he really this bad now?

hes off the roids or human growth he was likely taking. also hes probably atleast 2-3 years older than whatever he admits too, so age is slowing him down, as seen by his lack of power and increase in injuries

May be time to update the PostRoid Droopers team

1B - Ortiz
2B - Bret Boone (recently retired after his Droop)
SS - Tejada
3B - ARod (relatively)
C - Pudge Rodriguez
OF - your turn

Ortiz was never caught taking anything but he was on some kind of PED because his bat is ice cold. He never did anything with the twins then he comes to boston and he gets real hot for 4 or 5 years and now Manny is gone and he is shit. I would not doubt Youkolis is on the shit as well.

The Stat Line Of The Night — 8/8/11 — David Oriz

After taking two of three games against the New York Yankees over the weekend, the Boston Red Sox were looking to extend their lead in the AL East as they traveled to Minnesota to take on the Twins.* Sox starter Tim Wakefield was in search of his 200th win, but he couldn’t get the job done on this night, however, one man who was getting the job done was David Ortiz.
Big Papi had a big night at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs.* In addition to his two-run homer in the sixth inning, Ortiz also brought home the game-winning run with a single in the top of the ninth, as the Sox escaped with the 8-6 victory.* The win moves them 1.5 games up on the Yanks for first place in the AL East.* Papi was the key catalyst on this night and his solid effort at the plate earns him “The Stat Line of the Night” for Monday, August 8, 2011.
