Pierzynski's comment after last night's game:
"There's no need to say again," said Pierzynski, who finished 0-for-3 as the White Sox managed just four singles. "The guy pitched good. I'm tired of people blaming the offense, and I'm tired of you guys saying this offense stinks. This offense is pretty darn good. It won the division last year. We have good hitters -- big league hitters. The bottom line is we didn't get any hits tonight."

I have been saying the same thing for years. All the HRs they hit and runs they score because of them gives the illusion that they are a good hitting team. I am not even sure if they had a .300 hitter last year. Also people seem to think that Wrigley Field is a HR park while actually it is US Cellular park thet has ranked in the top 5 HR parks the last 5 years.

Texas Rangers pitching over their past 20 games is only allowing 4.3 rpg, which is a pace equal to the #8 team pitching in MLB
They've allowed more than five runs just one time in the past 21 games after today's 7-1 win in Chicago.
It's reasonable to state that if Rangers can maintain a pitching equal to Top10 level along with their explosive bats, they are a very solid playoff contender.
