Yankees, have their backs against the wall, the better pitcher, the better hitting, and will play in a big game in front of a packed house, i'd be tempted to put 2 units on them ( I wish I did on the Phils last night), but I'll play them.
Cards: Clearly the better team, I like STL hitting, and I don't like the Pitt offense. Pinero/Ohlender is probably a wash but I'd still rather have Pinero.
Phillies: Phillies are at home, hit lefties and I think Moyer is better than people give him credit for. He's not going to win 15 games and is older than dirt, but he'll let the Phils compete. All this talk about the dodgers "4-1 without manny" is a joke. You'd be crazy to think they were better with out him... Traveling across the country to face the world champs is no better a time for "reversion to the mean". I don't like the game like last night ( because I thought Park was underrated) and Wolf is better than Kershaw, but I'll take it. Yesterday I loved the game even more than the Yanks best bet today.
Brewers: Underrated team, I like the Brewers hitting, they are at home and I think Looper will give them a shot to win.
Boston: Boston has better hitting, the better starting pitcher, the better bullpen, the better record, the better everything, the only disadvantage is that they are on the road, while anaheim is at home... I'll take the better roster for -110 please.
