I'm gonna start on the 21st of this month and ending on the 14th of next month. They play Toronto 6 times in that stretch, a hungry NYY that needs to gain some games on them heads up to feel like an AL East contender, and Texas who should have a field day with Boston's starting pitching which by the way is one of the worst in the MLB right now.
Depsite their bad pitching, they've been able to be one of the better teams in the MLB, at 61% right now. I see them hitting a bit of a rough patch, especially with Youk on the D\L for a bit. Their B Team has been able to pull out lots of wins lately, but again, I think they come back to earth soon.
What do you guys think? Gyno, I've tailed you doing this in the past...what you thinkin? You always do well when you fade a team for an extended period it seems - I've tailed a bit. Opponents of Boston will have good value, the public looks at them as a winner even without people like Youk or Lowell on the field. I personally think they are one player from a less than stellar team unless a bat steps up, and steps up soon. Without Youk in the lineup, they aren't terribly intimidating to me, but they've somehow been able to figure out a way to win. I also don't think Jason Bay, who deserves a ton of credit for keeping them an elite team is going to stay on pace, especially without protection for other key players that are already showing signs of injuries.
