(Baseball System) PLAY AGAINST all underdogs with a money line of +100 to +150, when a bad offensive team like San Diego is averaging 4.1 or less runs per game, against an average NL starting pitcher (ERA=4.20 to 5.20), with a starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.250 or better on the season. Though just missing as 80 percent qualifying system, pretty darn good at 43-11, 79.6 percent with 2-0 record in 2009.

( Baseball Trend) The Detroit Tigers are is 15-2 after two straight games where they stranded five or less runners on base since last season.

The Tigers are 5-1 in their last six home games vs. a left-handed starter as they take on the struggling Dallas Braden today. The Tigers are also coming off a blowout of the A's last night and start Rick Porcello, the rookie who has looked exceptional so far. He'll be facing an A's team that is just 17-38 in their last 55 road games and 7-21 in their last 28 road games vs. a team with a winning record.

Dodgers At Florida

The odds maker opened this total at (9.5) and money has pushed this total to (10) and I' am guessing mainly on the starting pitching. Eric Milton trying to make his way back to the Major Leagues and hasn't pitched since 2007 makes this start vs a struggling Florida Marlins. The Marlins could only put together seven hits last night vs a pitcher that pitches to contact in Eric Stults. Milton who has struggled with giving up home runs in the past was 3-2 with a 2.83 era at triple A Albuquerque. Talented left hander Andrew Miller makes a return after a stint on the DL and had two outstanding rehab start's will get a chance to handle a Dodgers lineup minus Manny that has hit him hard in two appearances vs them. Both pitchers should get helped out by home plate umpire Ed Rapuano who is 5-3 to the over this year but that is deceiving as he has only average 8.62 runs this year when calling the balls and strikes. The wind is expected to be blowing in at about 18 mph per hour, fade the money and go under here.

Boston at Seattle

As the Red Sox look to end their three game losing streak. The Yankees capped off a ninth inning comeback last night and are on a three game wining streak. The jays keep winning and the Rays keep fighting. This is an important game for Boston who is now 21-15 on the Year. I can go down the list of big time numbers by Pedroia, Ellsbury, Bay, Lowell etc. But in this game it will be all about Josh Beckett. So far this year the ace of the staff is 3-2 with an unacceptable 6.42 ERA. He has looked sub par in every which way. That will end tonight. Last season Beckett was much better on the road then at home as he was 7-5 with a 2.86 ERA. The major factor the Sox will bring to the plate tonight is their speed on the base paths. Ellsbury, Pedroia and Lugo will look to get on base and rattle the young pitcher they are facing. Except a very motivated bunch who are going to put a hurt on The Mariners. Last season Pre-All Star break Becket was 9-5 with a 3.94 ERA.

trends:
The Red Sox are 18-6 in their last 24 games played on a grass field. The Mariners are 4-13 in their last 17 Saturday games. In the head to head match up, The UNDER is 7-2-1 in the last 10 games while Red Sox are 6-4 in the last 10 games.

Garrett Olson will get the nod for Seattle. He has been a bullpen pitcher this year. Last season he was 9-10 with a 6.65 ERA. Against Boston he was 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA. That pretty much says it all. Expect Olson to get hammered. Ichiro is playing well but it wont be enough.

NY Mets at San Fran

Mets have always owned Randy Johnson. The Mets core Reyes, Beltran and Wright all have excellent numbers vs. the slugger. BTW,J.Santana on the rubber for the Mets, any ??'s
