i was told you can bet both sides and create your own -1 line instead of taking the -1.5 that books offer and this was a example given to me but i dont really understand it fully..can someone help me out?

For example
+1.5 -162, ML +128 => risk (162+100) to win (128+100) => -115 for +1
-1.5 +152, ML -136 => risk (136+100) to win (152+100) => +107 for -1

thanx for the links guys..its a pretty nice system but first you gotta make sure the team wins..lol i wish there was a way to play both teams with very little risk and still make a profit..the only way i know is to play the -1.5 of one team and the ML of the other and then only way youd lose is if the game ends with a difference of only 1 run..i actually did that for awile i started with $100 and worked it up to $550 in a few weeks then i got screwed in a texas game..lol

Arbitrage bet (scalp) at different books.

For example:
Phillies -128
Braves +136

Bet $100 on the Braves and $132.49 on the Phillies. Profit $3.51 or 1.5%

Although I have been finding after doing this for a few months that you're better off just betting at certain books that hit at a much higher rate than others.

For example, when a recreational book like Bodog, 5Dimes, WagerStreet, or BetJamaica are on one side of an Arbitrage equation, take that team. When The Greek or Bookmaker/Diamond are on one side, fade that them as these books are sharp.
