Considering The Deposit & Withdrawal Problems U.S. Citizens Currently Have, Why Do Some Books Insist On ID

Please spare me the security measure for the well-being of the customers.

No matter how we all here involed in this industry, most of us know the issues U.S. citizens currently have involving getting funds to & from offshore sportsbooks.

Each & every time a customer from the states makes a deposit or withdraws funds, they take a risk.

With that being the case, why on Earth do some books insist on their customers sending identification upon withdrawal to worsten the situation & odds of problems later?

As I said above, I don't believe it should be asked for, for account protection.

What we are doing is already illegal anyhow, so if someone is careless & allows another person to somehow collect enough information about their account to steal their funds from their offshore account, then that is on them, end of story.

You have to question the motive of the Books in this case. If they were that concerned about the integrity of the account, they would make you jump through all these hoops before letting you deposit.

ah come on , you have to know the answer to your question

all we (on the other end) care about is FRAUD, we dont want to be SCREWED

as to why 'didnt you ask for this before the deposit' the answer is also obvious, you take a chance (statistical)

you lose money if you do any of the following

a) make it too difficult for players to deposit
b) make it too easy for people to deposit ridiculous amount of money without further verification
c) pay any person that has deposited without asking for proof that the card etc that you used to deposit was YOURS to start with or that later on you say 'hell I have no clue what this transaction is about , I've never heard of them'

In case a, its a balance, there will always be a problem with some people that deposit fraudulently

b) you have problematic gamblers that in the end will cry wolf and you lose $$$$$$$ there

c) if you don't do verification procedures on the 'exit' then you are likely to get double screwed in the event of chargebacks that you ALSO paid via a different method

great post hachette man... I always felt that books do the I need ID and a library card and a copy of your power bill BULLSHIT to STALL in paying you... they KNOW 99.9999% of the time it is you asking for your WD just Fucking pay ..without the hoops and BULLSHIT

A simple copy of your ID which matches the address shown in your offshore account file should be sufficient before releasing a payout.

If you're depositing western union or in a form where funds can't be charged back/reversed/fraudulent then 100% NO.

If you deposit creditcard, If books want a simple scan of an ID then I guess that's fine with me.


Either way - I've never had this problem as I only deposit via WU/moneygram etc..

It's a joke on us. There is no reason. I have made numerous credit card deposits to books. Lose they take your money(no questions asked)...win and you need a stool sample.

i say no, cause when i pick up a MG they check and verify my id there or my bank or check cashing place will verify my id if i cash a check.
