Did anyone watch the game?

Mayberry homers and they show who they thought was the old man in the stands cheering for his son.

The only thing wrong was that it was not John. Just some guy.

About an inning later they said that it was not Mayberry and interviewed the real John Mayberry.

Hilarious.:):)

I was at the game but heard about that when I returned home. FOX absolutely sucks. I cannot stand their baseball coverage.

Big John Mayberry finished his career with the Yanks (1982), his son starts his career against the Yanks.

Dennis Werth started his career with the Yanks, his stepson, Jayson Werth began his career against the Yanks (as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays in 2002). Jayson Werth's grandfather, Dick Schofield, played for the Yankees in 1966.

Jimmy Rollins cousin, Tony Tarasco, played 14 games for the Yanks.

Ryan Howard and Jayson Werth had their major league debuts on September 1 (Howard in 2004, Werth in 2002). Then again, this isn't a big deal, because isn't this the day when they allow teams to expand the rosters to 40?
