Toronto led the majors in runs scored as recently as last week, but its surprisingly successful lineup has run into problems.

After stranding a combined 23 runners Wednesday and Thursday in the final two losses of a three-game sweep by the Red Sox, Toronto left 11 men on base Sunday as the Braves completed another sweep. The Jays (27-20) haven't homered in five straight games, matching their longest drought of the season.

Brian Tallet a career reliever before injuries pushed him into the Blue Jays' rotation, is coming off four consecutive quality starts, holding opponents to a .152 average over that span. Toronto has only won one of those games, though, and Tallet took the loss Tuesday in Boston after allowing two runs in six innings of his team's 2-1 defeat.

Blue Jays have won 14 of 17 against the Orioles dating back to last season. Toronto has also won five of its last six games at Camden Yards.

I thought so too. I still think that team has a bunch of talent, but they're quickly showing that there's very little heart on their team. You're on a huge losing streak, going up against Jeremy f'ing Guthrie, and you allow him to shut you down? They should have put 8 or 9 on the board against him. I think I'm done betting on these guys...

Fire Cito Gaston right now for putting him in twice in one week with a one run lead. Only a complete fuckin retard would do that.

I've supported Cito for a long time but this is enough of this Mickey Mouse managing...absolutely unacceptable.

I didn't mean to imply that it was over, but I think you can get a pretty good sense for how games are going to play out early in the game. It was obvious Toronto's hitters weren't going to get the job done today. Whether it was fatigue, lack of focus, whatever it was, they took the day off.

Very similar to last night's game. It was obvious 2 or 3 innings in that the Brewers didn't show up. Baker was grooving fastballs down the middle all night and they couldn't even make contact on most of them.

And for the record, I'm not really upset with Ryan. Everyone knows he sucks, so I expect him to shit the bed when he comes in. What I'm pissed about is the offense not showing up against one of the worst pitchers in baseball. It makes it even worse when you consider they are on a 6-game losing streak. Teams who play with pride, like the Yankees and Red Sox, would have absolutely destroyed Guthrie if they were in the same scenario. Perfect chance to take out your frustration on a bad pitcher.

I'm done betting on this team. Having said that, they will probably break out and score 10 runs tomorrow.

If the Jays lose again tomorrow, which I doubt they will because I won't be betting on them, I'll unload on Halladay in the first five on Wednesday. He will probably pitch a no hitter if he takes the mound when his team is on an 8-game losing streak.
