MLB Betting Preview
St. Louis Cardinals (26-19) at Milwaukee Brewers (27-18)
Tuesday, 8:05 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Cardinals - 120 , Total 8.5 Under - 115

It will be tough for the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers to match the brilliance that was seen on Monday afternoon when Chris Carpenter and Yovani Gallardo put up a lot of zeroes. Carpenter was simply perfect into the seventh inning for St. Louis until Craig Counsell singled to lead off the inning. Gallardo was almost as good for the Brewers as he didn’t allow a hit for the first five innings. Neither starter was around for a decision as Bill Hall hit a two-out RBI single in the 10th inning to win it for the Brewers.

SBG Global reports that early MLB Betting has the public taking Cardinals on the Road.

Milwaukee now leads the Cardinals by one game in the National League Central. The Brewers have won each of the first four meetings against St. Louis this season. Adam Wainwright gets the start on Tuesday for St. Louis while Jeff Suppan starts for Milwaukee. Wainwright is 4-2 on the season with a 3.41 ERA while Suppan is 3-3 with a 4.71 ERA.

Wainwright has been excellent of late for the Cardinals pitching 16 2/3 innings in his last two starts giving up only two runs. Suppan has been solid this season, holding opponents to three or fewer runs in each of his last seven starts. Earlier this month he gave up only six hits and no runs in a 1-0 win against the Cardinals. He is 5-0 with a 1.66 ERA in his last six starts against St. Louis.
