Ive been trying to cut back alot on the breads and sugars in my life, so I find myself eating chicken alot. I have a fryer or also oven, looking for some recipe's or spice idea's for the wings that arent loaded with carbs and what not.

Mostly right now ive been using a dry Caribbean jerk rub or some franks hot wing sauce for a wetter wing.

Hooters Wings recipe if you like those...

Ingredients

* 1/4 cup butter
* 1/4 cup louisiana hot sauce
* 1 dash pepper, Ground
* 1 dash garlic powder
* 1/2 cup flour
* 1/4 teaspoon paprika
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 10 chicken wings
* bleu cheese salad dressing
* celery
* vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

1.
1
Combine the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
2.
2
If the wings are frozen, be sure to defrost and dry them.
3.
3
Put the wings into a large bowl and sprinkle the flour mixture over them, coating each wing evenly.
4.
4
Put the wings in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 minutes. (This will help the breading to stick to the wings when fried.)
5.
5
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees.
6.
6
You want just enough oil to cover the wings entirely -- an inch or so deep at least. Combine the butter, hot sauce, ground pepper, and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Heat until the butter is melted and the ingredients are well blended.
7.
7
Put all the wings into the hot oil and fry them for 10 to 15 minutes or until some parts of the wings begin to turn dark brown.
8.
8
Remove the wings from the oil to a paper towel to drain.
9.
9
But don't let them sit too long, because you want to serve the wings hot. Quickly put the wings into a large bowl.
10.
10
Add the hot sauce and stir, coating all the wings evenly.
11.
11
You could also use a large plastic container with a lid for this.
12.
12
Put all the wings inside the container, add the sauce, put on the lid, then shake. Serve with Bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side.

You can always throw some red crushed pepper on them. I did this once to wings, and was amazed that I never tried putting red crushed on wings sooner.

the best is grilled wings..my own recipe..shake on even amounts garlic powder, red cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper and a light sprinkle of chili powder and crushed red pepper flakes..

take the wings and drizzle them in extra virgin olive oil add spices on both sides and put on medium hot grill. Turn the wings often during cooking. Mix yourself a Crown on the rocks and you are set. After cooking I sometimes coat the wings in a hot wings sauce or Cholula sauce..the best and NOT fried!

I use the franks hot sauce with butter and brown sugar mixed in. but here is the kicker, I like them hot so I put a little bit of Dave's Ghost Pepper hot sauce in with it. This stuff is extremely hot. It measures over 1,000,000 units on the scoville scale. Just for compairison a Jalapeno measures about 5,000 on the scale. Cayenne pepper is about 40,000. So this sauce is about 200 times hotter then a Jalepeno pepper. The bottle literally says to add a drop at a time. But man they are good if you like um hot.

If you like dipping sauce for your wings try some wasabi mixed in with low fat ranch. Nice kick.

Kinz, I have grilled chicken breasts in a nonstick grill pan with a rub very similar to yours. I like your idea for wings. Sounds pretty simple and tasty.

I've searched quite a while myself for this recipe and this one is the best I've found.

A little bit of pepsi mixed in makes the best wing sauce.

Not so much a wing recipe - but slicing up a boneless chicken breast, dousing the pieces with cayenne, and blackening them ina cast iron skillet is a tasty way to go... I'm a fan because its VERY quick, and the crunchy outside along with a juicy inside is great.
