Went to Fedex the bill was $23.xx I hand the cashire a $20 and a $5 because I did not have no ones.

The cashier then tells me that the only way im allowed to pay cash is if I pay the exact amount.

I did not want to use my credit card or debit card so I told her dont worry about giving me change, I told her to keep the extra $1.xx

Then she said that her boss told her that the only way people could pay cash is with exact amount.

Then I told her that I was pretty sure he meant that because you could not make change but since I am offering you almost a $2 tip it would not matter.

She said sorry I cant do that.

What an idiot!

I swear this woman was so stupid it could have been $24.99 and she would not have accepted the $20 and $5

Some of these people are so robotic that they cant figure out simple things that just requires just a little bit of sense. All they are capable of doing (assuming its a simple task) is exactly what you tell them and nothing else.

I can not tell you how many times I leave a place like that with more money in my pocket then I walked in with. I always return it because I am big on karma and taking it wouldn't be the right thing to do. I really feel bad for some people.

It's because they have a system on how the transaction is going to go - expecting that the amount the computer tells them to give for change is going to be correct. When they get thrown off, it fucks with them. Tiger doesn't like noise when he tees off, chess players complain about lighting affecting their game, tennis players can't it a ball when someone sneezes, on and on - we are creatures of habit... Its an imperfect world, be glad that someone is willing to work for minimum wage so you can get your fast food.

Went into the store a while back and gave the guy a $20 to pay for $14 and change. He asked me if I had anything smaller. Told him I left my $15 bills at home.

Upon approaching an unknown person in any environment, the odds are at least 2 to 1 against you having an enriching experience.

Out here in SoCal we have non-english reading Mexicans that work the fast food joints so it is always an adventure when you order something off the menu and hand them American currency instead of pesos.

I remember when I was growing up all the way thru high school most of those lower income service jobs went to high school kids on a workers permit, college kids on break or the sweet elderly person looking to add to their supplemental income.

I miss the days when the stoner pizza guy used to deliver pizzas to my house in his used truck that he earned by working part time jobs. I miss the paperboy delivering the paper on his bike in the afternoon and coming around collecting his fees. I miss seeing a mentally handicapable person sweeping the dining area and parking lots at McDonalds. Instead I have an illegal delivering cold pizzas to my house because he can't understand english driving directions, a speedfreak delivering my papers in his car at 3:00am who misses my house all the effin time and a homeless alcoholic dude asking me for change for "GAS" money as I leave the drivethru window.

Fvck I sound like Michael Douglas from that classic movie Falling Down.

I disagree, it is because kids these days are too lazy to figure this out, they never learned in school how to make change and if the computer(cash register) does not spit it out..we are in trouble.
