National Spelling Bee Finals

There is only one nerdy looking white kid left in this thing. The rest are Punjabis and gooks.

Is it enviable white people are going to be a minority in this country?

There must be 10 Punjabs in the thing and I can not pronounce one of their fucking names. At least the Gooks westernize and name their kids normal names. These fucking Punjabs better get a clue.

I hope the nerdy white kid takes this thing down.

What I say is in jest. Tiger comes from a Military family and has a black father.

I have no problem people coming to our country and becoming Americanized. But the foreigners that colonize among themselves is exactly what we do not need. You shouldn't be able to go into neighborhoods where no one speaks english, or even attempts to. If the parents do not speak english, fine, but to raise your kids like you back in Mexico/Pakistan/Korea, is wrong.

I would have worded it differently, but I basicly said the same thing to wifey.

p.s. the masters should just tell the contestants the word origins, pronuciations, meanings etc. etc. because everybody asks for them.
It gets redundant.

I'm trying to understand: you sling words like 'punjabs' and 'gooks' and want to express the thought that you are angry that these smart disciplined children have names you can't pronounce? How vietnam old are you to sling a tired lame racist expletive like 'Gooks'. mplastered already referenced the irony concerning your avatar hero. You might be too slow to be able understand mplastered's point. Anti immigrant rants might sell on braindead AM night radio but when you come in here and trot out this hate against children then you make yourself an embarrassment to your 'beltway' and the RX and expose yourself as a nasty angry old man. We can only hope that these bright kids never learn to spell or speak your language.

good post........i mean this is hardly a bad thing ....smart educated children in a spelling bee.......maybe the guy has immigration issues with hispanics or something and lashed out at these stars of the future........im trying to make sense of it too

This is partly an assumption, but the reason why you don't see many black kids going deep in these spelling bees is becasue of the commitment it takes of the parents to practice with their kids on a daily basis for years.

I think that's a big reason why you see these indian, chiense, and homeschooled white kids going far each year. when they talk about how much these kids practice, they say their mom or day practice 2-3 hours every single day with them.

it takes just as much dedication from parents as it does from the kids to succeed in a competition like this.

Funny that you defend and turn it around by calling me racist. Come to Annandale, VA or Korean town as it is better known and try and eat at one of the Korean restaurants. If you are not Korean they will turn you away. These people hate you. Many of them do not pay taxes and milk our country dry. You probably donate to ACLU to help them. Loser.
