I have been here a week. Where the hell is the sun. Did I bring the shit weather from Michigan?

This is a different state thats for sure. I drove to Santa Maria the other day. Thats not a bad city. There is no good bookstores in this area. Hell in Michigan you couldn"t drive 10 miles without seiing a big bookstore.

The city of Lompoc is a small town. Thats the closest to the base.

In the next few weeks I plan on heading to Hollywood park for the friday night racing. I hope to be able to meet a fellow rxer there. Should be fun.

I love it! I hate driving in the morning with the sun in my eyes. Most of the time the sun comes out in the late morning.

Very nice here in Chi-town. Some rain here and there and a little cooler than usual but I like it. Upper 60's and sunny today. Perfect. Mid-May to mid-June is usually the best weather time of year around here. Later in the summer can get a bit steamy.

June Gloom also hits us hard in Ventura - I miss the Vegas heat from a couple of days ago.

San Luis Obispo is a nice town to spend a few hours - especially when they have their weekly street fair. I think it may be Thurs evenings but double check if you plan on going.

It has been great. Hope the weather holds for Blues Fest in a couple of weeks.

Fair

I am missing out on some fun shit. The Wings must have the town going crazy right now. I went to the last few parades for the Wings. I am still waiting for my beer that Kwame promised us.

I miss going to Greektown just 15 mins away from me. I miss reading all the great headlines from how Detroit is screwed.

I miss my wife the most. This has been the longest we have been apart from each other for 9 1/2 years.
