I used to live in Ohio and I loved it, although it was Kent and not Cleveland. Lots of good, friendly, down to earth people.

I did travel up to Cleveland and enjoyed when I was up there. They have done a lot with the city compared to what it used to be. Progessive Field is a nice ballpark.

The Flats is a great area for bars. I plan to go back to visit.

Now that I have seen this thread, when was the last Championship in Cleveland? Was it when Jim Brown played?

1964

Not really sure why LeBron would leave. He gets any marketing deal he wants now. He would basically be starting over in any other city.

Why would he not? What city would he be less of a star-then he may have a chance for a championship. The fact that the Cavs have not put anyone around him to help win is one of the biggest jokes I have seen.

Try living in Buffalo as a sports fan. I will say one thing, the fans are very devoted. I still can't get over the four consecutive Super Bowl losses.

Quantumleap,I dont know when the last time you was in Cleveland but the Flats is basically a ghost town down there with alot of bars that closed up.Yes they cleaned up Cleveland in certain areas but its still bad in parts near downtown just like every other big city that you would be in.

Harrington,Cleveland is just like Buffalo with the diehard fans but the fans here are craving for a chance for a title and thought this would be the year with the Cavs but we live in a town called "The Land of Almost" and always get are hearts broken.

Sad part is that he will have to go another year like this until 2010 when the prize crop of free agents come out because they wont spend big money on anybody until then and have alot of money coming off the books also.

He is closer to a championship now than leaving to go to a new team. No one has room for him. Easier for players to take less in Cleveland than to clear out 5 salaries on another team to fit him in. Still have to fill those slots too. Something to be said about playing in his hometown too.

Gravy, sorry to hear that about the Flats. I haven't been there in over 5 years so I didn't know.

I do remember going to some great restaurants in the Italian area of Cleveland. Actually I think it was the Sicilian restaurants that I liked the best. There is a small but distinct difference.

You are probably thinking of "Little Italy" where they have some nice resturants to have a nice dinner in.Yeah its really a shame how the Flats are these days as in the early 90's was the happening place to be and now nothing.
