Ok... I always thought the Donks where in the lower limit games

my main question on the way I played this hand is

Did I have enough pot odds to call the 32$ bet with a NUT flush draw and to over cards to the board? (of course he flopped a straight as I learned with the hand history) and was this guy on tilt to bet that big with a Flush on the board and he insta called me without even thinking

thanks for all comments

Ok, well you won the hand so hard to critique too much, although I am not sure why you check after the flop UNLESS you plan on re raising.

Thats a monster flop for you, and unless he has pocket AA or KK and we can assume he doesn't since he didn't re raise, most the time you are ahead with the nut flush and overs

I checked on the flop due to the straight possiblilty.. and wanted to see if I could get a free card .the 32$ was almost enought to make me fold... then of course I hit the jackpot but I also watched this guy lose 800$ in about 4 mins to others on the table to, he was for sure on tilt IMO, I know I did not play this hand perfectly so im looking for ways I could have done it better

He probably got excited holding the 7 when the 6-8-9 came up on the flop and was also trying to shake out the other players and was almost successful.

When he hit the 10 I'm guessing he got even more excited and didn't calculate the possibilities that others may have a spade flush. Or perhaps he thought you were trying to steal the pot and didn't have 2 spades as your hole cards.

It's hard to get in the mind of someone else.

You dont need someone to critique your winning hands, it is the losing ones that might need to be looked at

You didn't have pot odds to call the $32, but given that he was
sitting with ~$400 you definitely had implied pot odds, i.e.
the odds that if you hit your hand that he'll call off enough
chips to make your call worthwhile.

I think you played the hand just fine.

Played this hand like shit imo.. Should raise preflop like 16. Flop you shouldnt check cause it was obv you were scared of something.. so lead out.. if he raises you can reraise all in to blow him off or call.. then on the turn I would of bet out.

I wouldn't go as far to say shit, I would say passively and definitely like a beginner (no offense!). The check call and then check again on turn just YELLS flush, lucky for you the guy was either just bad or was on some major tilt and had fallen in love with his straight.

The real thing to look at is how bad your opponent played. After the turn, what could he beat that you would of re raised with? Maybe you do this with 2 pair or a set but it would be a ballsy move with the straight and flush on the board. That is the best he can hope for, MAYBE an AsKx on your part but again that would be wishful thinking most of the time.

Anyways, I do agree with Full, I think you lead after the flop, since he flopped a straight of course he is raising and then you either call or just go ahead and push. Of course he is calling if you push so you get the same result, however he could very well be re raising with just the 7, maybe a flush draw himself or even just top pair with the draw, some hands like this would fold after you re re raised

Are you saying it's a monster flop because he has a flush draw? I don't consider that a monster flop.

the check on the flop wasnt a bad play....why not keep the pot small and see a free turn card?? Why go broke on a flush draw like so many donks do? Hed still get paid off on the turn if the guy flopped the straight. Im surprised the guy paid him off with all the spades on the board, but I thought it was played well...good implied odds imo

I don't think you played the hand nearly as bad as a few are suggesting here.

You bet the flop and he may fold and you win very little..........your pre-flop raise was just fine also.

As it turned out, I think you played the hand pretty damn well and I have no problem with how you played it.

PF- standard

Flop - c/c is fine but c/r is probably better so you can try to get the money in when you have the most equity.. very likely that he doesnt have AA/KK since he would most likely 3bet you PF... so unless he has a set you are doing fine equity wise... if you c/c the flop and the turn blanks its a much uglier spot since you are OOP and c/c again would be pretty bad

Turn- He probably knows your UTG range is tight so his play is fine here, a ton of noobs would CRAI here with AA/KK or something like 2p, so im guessing he thought that would be a big part of your range. Raising from UTG he can't put you on that many FD's unless you are playing loose from UTG and opening hands like JTs or KJs, so he gets it in..... pretty standard IMO unless he has a good read on you and knows you are only c/r-ing flushes or straights

So, the way you played it is totally fine... probably more optimal to c/r the flop or to even just lead out and double barrel (he's gonna shove over your turn bet almost always anyway)... so basically the money was gonna go in on the turn and you had the best hand = $
