OT: How Much do you Pay to get Your Car Washed ?

Got my Car washed Yesterday and it Cost me $21 + $4 Tip= $25

I get it washed Every Week, that's $25 X 52 Weeks a Year = $1,300 !! Give or take a week or two per year during the Winter that I might miss.

How Much do some you guys pay for a Car Wash ?? Or.....Do You do it Yourself ??

Once a year at roughly $10 a pop.

$25 when i get it detailed, which is once every 2 weeks or so. then i touch it up pretty much everyday (during spring and summer months, which is only about 6 months here in Syracuse). The rest of the time it's covered in salt just like everybody else

Detailed ?? Like Wash & Waxed ? Does that Include Detailed Inside the car ?

Because here, Detailed means....Washed, Waxed, and every little spot inside the Car...they use Q-tips to clean around the Radio,vents, etc...

And that Cost around $100 & Up

One of my summer pleasures is a 6 pack of Heineken .....The baseball game on the radio ......an washing my own cars .....now that all my kids have new cars 5 in my house hold ....I am on 2 six packs an hope for extra innings .....but serious I do enjoy detailing my won cars .............

Use to do this Years ago... Guess I never find the time anymore.

in love bug season (they will eat away your paint)in Florida its a must do at least once a week. It's $5 MOST ANYWHERE TO RUN IT THROUGH.

Last time I did that, I had to wash the car again. The water they used was so dirty, my car was worse than before the so called wash. Never again.

Quick wash...8.00 1x week

Full wash inside and out.....21.50 plus 5.00 tip 2 x montrh

Detailed washed inside and out. wax would be another $20 or so. With the weather up here car washes can't charge $100, nobody would pay that much to have it looking good for 3 days until the next rainy/snowy day.

$5 to run it through with a guy that wipes it down by hand as it comes through the dryer. When needed I send it through a full service (inside cleaned) $10 w/tip. About every 3years or so a full detail $175.

They use a Hose at most of the ones I have gone to.
If I just see Buckets, I pass..

Yeah, I hear Ya

About 5 years ago, I tried to Open up a Car wash
Saw How much a Real good one would cost and Backed out.

But there was one I saw down whre I have a place. And this place was Doing it all by Hand ! there was a Line around the Block, because he could only do 6 Cars at a time. ( he only had 6 Car ports )

I go twice a month. I pay $40 a pop plus give a $20 tip $60 total. The $40 gets me a full Service hand wash, super sealer, polish wax, armorall tires and carpet Shampoo.
