Baltimore +1.17 over SEATTLE http://www.pinnaclesports.com/?refer=xspwagers
The Orioles are a team that could certainly be worth watching over the next little while. They’ve called up at least three strong prospects, which includes two everyday players and one pitcher. They lost two of three to the Tigers but they had to face Verlander and Edwin Jackson and the going gets much easier here against both Seattle and Jarrod Washburn. In fact, the Mariners have lost 15 of Washburn’s last 20 starts at Safeco. Washburn is coming off a nice performance over Oakland (big deal) but prior to that he allowed 10 earned runs over 11 innings. The M’s are not a strong offensive team and with Washburn on the mound they offer up very little appeal as a favorite. The O’s have beat Seattle eight of their last 10 match-ups and Rich Hill is a guy that could come on. He’s been very effective on the road in two starts, compiling a 3.18 ERA and a .256 BAA. He also has 15 k’s in 14.2 frames. Hill has some very impressive career numbers, which include a .235 BAA, and 324 strikeouts in 352 career innings. He got off to a late start this year but the man can pitch and the Orioles could be a very live pooch on this trip. Play: Baltimore +1.17 (Risking 2 units).
