After college I found a job through a friend of a friend. The company went out of business. My next job and my 3rd were found on Monster (internet site). My most recent was found in the Newspaper. I'm trying to figure out where to look. Thanks.

shoot for the stars man. always go for a job that's beyond what you think is your comfort zone. go for the money or the perks. don't sell yourself short.

my latest job was secured after researching the company on the web and tracking their recruiting processes. got an interview on my own and got a referral from an associate from the inside to give things a push. 4 interviews later, i got in.

research via the web, be intellignet with all communications, and be persistent.

In 2000, my wife shot off my resume to 50+ people/companies even if they didn't have a job opening ... two of them called back ... I chose one ... worked there for two years.

In 2002, my wife shot off my resume to 100+ people/companies even if they didn't have a job opening ... two of them called back ... I chose one ... been there ever since.

There are MANY MANY jobs out there that don't get advertised, or might be on the verge of getting advertised. If you email them at that time, they might just call you instead of putting up an ad ... and you don't have to compete with 50 other resumes to get the job.
