5 dimes -- not sure why took away the fun and always crazy greyhound dog tracks that were offered daily...now gone...s...made them different than the betjams, and bookmakers...They had several afternoon and several evening tracks listed with their normal horse and harness tracks. Same software that gave them accurate closing of the pools just like in the horses..They never gave the 10% bonus on the exactas and wins with the dogs and had low limits and capped the max win per race..must be a good money maker and fun for the customers.

seems strange that 5 dimes would take away a money maker that the customers liked..

carib has some dog tracks but just 2.

come on Tony get the dogs barking again...anyone else who wants them sign in.

One way the dogs can be beaten is if someone is willing to take action on win, place, etc. and the money doesn't go into the actual pools. I used to put win bets in with local bookmakers. At a certain point, they would all say the same thing --"No more dogs!". I can't tell how exactly how many have said this to me, but it's at least 6. Anyone that has a clue can bury a BM betting a hundred or 200 to win. If you bet $200 to win on track the dog goes to 1/9. Twenty and thirty dollar handicapable winners are not uncommon in greyhound racing.

Assuming 5dimes doesn't co-mingle wagers with the actual pool, it was a no win situation and most likely they took losses they could never make up.

they had such low limits that i do not think anyone could have been manipulating the pools, was'nt it $5 and $10 limits?

Just to be clear, I was not suggesting that anyone was manipulating the pools. If the limits were as you say, then I don't think they could ever get hurt or that anyone that is a profressional dog handicapper even bothers playing there.

If they did allow $100 to win wagers, they could get hurt and you don't need to manipulate the pool to do it. You just need talent.

geez 25 max on win place show

less on exacta, quin and tri...

they had a money maker..in live chat they now say they can get enough information on the tracks, races, off times.

100% I followed the races they closed as the tote on track closed...exact same time that betus would go off for example they have a few tracks also. Their system was somehow tied directly into the live tote system so it would shut down the wagers as or before the doges went into the boxes...

dogs are fun as you can watch on line at flagler or pheonix greyhounds for examples home site...

made for a fun evening.

5 dimes please reconsider...

i was taking out from the racebook since october last year....
"management desicion"... after hit a superfecta for 4.8k plus numerous between 1k and 2k... a lot of pick 4, in special one for 3,9k... with those limits (5k per race) you can make thousand and thousand.....

in horses pick six, never hitted six of six, just few times 5 of 6....

Also looks like they took off Australia and few harness tracks...

Now with the economic situation, will be common to see a lot of longshot on horses.
