Numberz 2009 MLB THREAD....

Will be keeping track of MLB plays throughout the rest of the season, in this thread. Plays will be based on a variety of things, ranging from, line value, reverse line movement, system series chases, pitching matchups, among a great deal of other things. Any input would be appreciated, treat the thread as if it were your own. The power of collective thought, cannot be understated, so feel free to voice your opinions! Will continue to do writeups for games, only if there is enough interest.

Red Sox playing the final stretch of a 10 game road trip, having lost 4 of their last 6 road games, and will be sending a struggling Matsuzaka to the mound. Dice K has been absolutely horrible thus far this season, and I don't expect much to change tonight as he faces off against a Detroit team averaging 6 runs per game while playing at home. Detroit also boasts the league's best overall defense, allowing 4.3 runs per game, (3.9 RPG at home), and will send Porcello to the mound, who has been phenomenal as of late, (3-0 in his L3, with a 2.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP). The Tigers, are 8-2 in their last 10 home games, and I expect them to keep it rolling tonight, against a struggling Boston club, who has dropped 4 of their last 6 games, and are 0-3 in Matsuzaka's last 3 starts...Tigers bring home the bread tonight, imo...GL!

This game will be a part of a chase...In other words, if it loses, I'll chase it into tomorrows game to make back the loss and the original 1 unit sought after..All chases to profit 1 unit..Will keep a separate record for these types of wagers...Should have about 2-4 going at the beginning of each week, and another 2-4 in the middle of the week when the 2nd round of bb series begin...

A mistake was made when deciding on the Giants for the series bet last night..they did not qualify...not sure how this was overlooked, but it happened...the wager last night will NOT count in the "series chase" record..trying to keep track of specific matchups that qualify for series chases, and the Giants were not one of them...the game, will instead be counted in my overall record...I am placing another wager on the Giants today, which I will include in my overall record...like I said neither game, will count in terms of series chases, consider them each, individual wagers...they will be reflected in the overall record, and not in the "Series Chase" record...sorry for confusion...will be back later to update records..GL, as always...
