Softball- Gators please lose tonite

I have been watching the softball world series and I can't believe the lack of talent. What a sorry sport softball is. 60 foot bases are ridiculous. Ten year old boys play baseball on 70 foot bases and are better players.

What a sorry excuse for college scholarships. The scoreboard shows 5 errors but I have counted at least 10 errors. Easy dropped balls in the outfield, the first baseman missing easy throws, the shortstop and 3rd baseman letting easy balls through. And the fucking umpire waits 5 seconds to make the call.

I have been watching this garbage all week and bet my Gators every game until they lost last night. That was enough action for me.

The worst part is that half the girls look like guys.

Softball is like baseball's retarded cousin. Sure he's fun to joke around with while you're drunk at the family BBQ, but no one's taking him seriously.

If the Husky softball team wasn't playing, I probably wouldn't have paid attention.

Florida had a good team this year. They just ran into the best pitcher in the country. Danielle Lawrie pitched every inning of the tournament for Washington.

the whimpiest two people on the field were the two male head coaches.

That chick for the Gators isnt a closer like Kobe Bryant. The last chick to come to the plate was practically crying before she even took a swing. Did you see Lebron James before he hit a three to win the game, crying before the ball was passed in? Of course not. That strikeout was inevitable. Then she threw her bat and went into the dugout. Do you hear any media today saying how that girl is a poor sport? How she should have shook the Huskies dumptrucks hands?

assholes, stand in against the Husky pitcher when she's fresh and even get your bat on the ball. She pitched 2 full games in one day. BTW that C for Wash. was a fox.:>(

I am an "asshole" for making an honest criticism of softball??? I have nothing against women's athletics. I am an avid WNBA handicapper and I like women's tennis. I just think that there is an overall lack of talent in softball. That is my opinion. I think the games (I have watched for the last week not just the Gator games) are poorly played.

The Washington head coach is a female.

Why are you comparing a Florida softball player to Lebron James? Didn't he storm off the court after being eliminated by Orlando and avoid shaking hands with any of the Magic players? He's the poor sport.

The girl you are attacking, Ali Gardner, did cry after making the last out. But, she also got in line and shook hands with the Washington players and then stood there with her team and watched while the Huskies celebrated on the field. Maybe you missed that part.

Two nights earlier, she hit a walkoff grand slam for Florida and the entire Alabama team was in tears. So what, like men don't cry in sports.

The entire Laker team, including Kobe Bryant, was in tears after being eliminated by the Spurs in the 2003 playoffs. Derek Fisher cried like a baby.

There are some attractive women who play softball. More than I see playing basketball.

Florida's pitcher Stacey Nelson is pretty hot.

I know what you are saying about the errors. Lawrie and Nelson both had fielding errors on plays to 1st base. And the error where Florida's catcher threw it over the 2nd baseman & centerfielders head allowing two more runs to score was the back breaker in game 1. I think a lot of it had to do with the pressure of playing in front of about 8,000 fans and being on national TV.

It's the same for any women's sport, though. In tennis, women struggle badly to hold serve. I've seen many matches where 5-6 games in a row players can't hold serve. Also, there are a lot more unforced errors on the womens side. But, there are some hotties, so I watch.

To me, women's basketball is unwatchable. To many missed shots and TO's. Plus, there is nothing to look at and they are all giants.

You mean Alicia Blake. Her nickname on the team is "wifey" as she is the only one who is married. Very nice.

Apparently, Lauren Greer has been Jake Locker's girlfriend for about a year. He was down there cheering them on, but they never showed him on TV once. Not bad.

I've seen Adam Morrison cry like a bitch lying on the floor after losing a basketball game.
