some guy from boston was posting in his blog in all capital letters about a red sox victory...so the linesmakers called hitmen from the mafia to threaten sox players into a loss, hence the line drop and the trap

Somewhat interesting line movement hear, but nothing terribly material. Firstly, there has not been a 14 cent shift from high to low, about half that from open to close at most shops.

It is apparent there has been a disconnect between oddsmakers and the marketplace in terms of pricing Galaraga in recent games. Last week the market said oddsmakers were inflating his asking price and called their bluff. The market cashed in the ticket. Yesterday the market said oddsmakers were inflating the Tigers price and materially bid down the Red Sox (I personally thought the Reds opening line was the most undervalued opening line all season year to date). The market cashed in that ticket as well. So one would think that their would think the market would buy down the sox and bid up Galagrage, putting downward pressure on the Sox off the open. Opening line movement at Pinnacle suggested this was going to take place. However, the news that Papplebon is out changed all of that, and the market adjusted as they deemed fit to this news.

Should be interesting to see where this line closes.
