its one thing to hit better than 300 just about every time runners are in scoring position....but this dude starts like 1 out of 30 games......


more than likely he just won another game for the phils (at least gave them a late inning lead with a clutch 2 out hit while down in the count) , and he does so largely in a pinch hit capacity.....such a pro, never a bad at bat

Not sure their are many major leaguers that wouldn't have crushed that pitch. It was a meatball right in the middle of the strike zone (terrible 1-2 pitch). A lot of pitchers would've hit that one hard.

i couldn't agree more. He was good in Toronto, like you mentioned he never got regular playing time, but always seemed to come up good in the clutch.
