While much of the chatter surrounding “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert has to do with speculation about his sexuality, the behind-the-scenes talk at many of the stops along Lambert’s publicity tour is how difficult he is to work with.
“He is such a diva. Rude to everyone — from fans right down to the lighting folks,” said one person who worked with Lambert.
“A-list celebrities have come through here and been infinitely more polite,” said another person who worked with Lambert during a stop in New York.
Lambert should change his attitude quickly, according to one music producer. “No one sells that many records these days to be able to get away with that kind of behavior. To be a success you need literally everyone in your corner.”

This queer just backed up what I have been saying for years. Gays only come out of the closet when it suits their needs or personal gains. It has nothing to do with the pressure. Most parts of this country is gay friendly hiding in the closet more or less holds you back then prevents you from progessing your station in life.
And here goes this American Idol fag, he waits until he gets the right dollar amount from Rolling Stone Magazine so he can make his official coming out party via this rags "so called" exclusive. The only thing worse than someone gay hiding their sexual preference is the media constantly hounding someone that is obviously a muff diver or pillow-biter to just admit it. Like Clay Aiken or Rosie O' Fats shocked the world by admitting what everybody already knew.

Not me personally, but I have a lot of friends across North America who are gay and I can assure you that once you get off of the Pacific coast, 95% of the USA outside of New York City and South Florida is still a tough place to be openly gay.
Housing discrimination, employment discrimination are the two most common challenges.
It gets better with each passing year as more laws are passed in new jurisdictions protecting the equal rights of gay Americans, but we've still got a long way to go.

I think this is an exaggeration. Pretty much the whole upper east coast like Conn, RI, Mass, Jersey, NY, Delaware, NH, DC are all gay acceptable. The entire west coast is a hot spot for gays.
Once you reach Utah, Nebraska and Texas they pretty much aren't down with the same sex shit. Being openly in a gay relationship in the south is a no-no but the southerners can't stand them tenderfoot sons of bitches from the upper east coast or black folk either. They don't call it the bible belt for nothing. One thing I respect about the south is that they are honest. If they don't like you they won't welcome you.
So pretty much this country treats gays as equal as every other race, religion, faction, preference, or perversions. I wouldn't think the gays would have strong feelings towards living in Alabama or Arkansas anyways. Shit people that live in Alabama or Arkansas don't even want to live there.
