As previously mentioned, I am a long time follower of the site, I've been hott so I figured I would offer my 2 cents for what it's worth.
After 1 day of Posting plays, im 2-1 and +3.5 units..... let's pound them today fellas.
1st up; My Play of the Day- Ted Lilly absolutely owns the Houston Astros in his career going 4-0 through 5 starts. He has given up 10 earned runs through 30 innings pitched vs. the Stros' lifetime and is has been hott as of late as he is coming off team victories vs. LA and ATL. Brian Moehler on the other hand is 2-3 with a 6.37 ERA this season. Simply playing the numbers here boys, I think the Cubbies Dominate!!!
5 units- ChC (-125)
The Cincinatti Reds have not been playing great baseball, but Johnny Cueto may be the most overlooked pitcher in the N.L. I have been monitoring him very closely as he may be my best fantasy baseball acquistion off the waiver wire. He's 5-3 with an impressive 2.42 ERA. Washington has won only 2 of their last 12 and have continued to struggle this season. Just when you thought the season could not get any worse, Johnny Cueto comes to town. I'm anticipating a low scoring game in Washington tonight but there is no doubt it my mind 4 runs will get the job done for Cincy!!
3.5 Units- Cin (-114)
Lastly, two pretty hott teams facing off with two of the most inconsistant pitchers in baseball on the mound. I can really see this one getting out of hand early, but due to the lack of consistancy of Hammel and Looper, I am not going to pound it. The two teams have racked up 71 runs combined in their last 5 games. Let's look for a shootout here!
