Saw that place like a month ago. Weird location and parking is for shit. Let us know if it's any good always looking for a new place while it's still good before they fuck it up by getting lazy and cheap....

I agree, bad location and bad design. I haven't been inside, but I doubt any business in that strip will survive; the sportsbar nor the toy store. The ATV place next the toy store already closed.

I'll bet the places next to EPA also dying due to bad location. I mean who goes to a hardware/home improvement warehouse and decides to shop at a clothes botique?

Parking at Jazz Cafe Escazu also sucks, building is ass ugly, ambiance inside sucks and food sucks. Big disappointment, San Pedro Jazz Cafe is so much better (although still lacks parking).

The clothing store that was next to EPA closed. There is a bar there now called Gaira. It is supposedly the best club in Central America currently. Completely built out to international standards "South Beach, Los Angeles, Vegas cloned". The club has been doing well in that spot, and the parking lot is convenient there.

Adam, I couldn't agree with you more. The Jazz Cafe in San Pedro has decent (for CR) atmosphere even though parking is pretty horrible, but nothing is as bad as Jazz Cafe Escazu. It looks like a place to store corn.

My biggest knock on any music venue in CR is the horrible live music selection. Who wants to see these shit bands like Escats anyway? I'd love to see some real music come to CR on a regular basis.

I have seen some photos of the club beside EPA and it looks amazing. I hope it does well. As far as location is concerned, I actually think its in a good spot. Direct highway access and good parking. Easy to get in and easy to get out.

I have not been to the "new" sports bar. Can anyone give me better directions? I'd like to try it out.

Right beside/under the new "TOYS" store in front of the new pedestrian bridge across from multiplaza on the new pista.

More across from CIMA. It's between Fichels Auto pharmacy and "Toys", before Plaza Itskazu coming from San Jose. I'll eat lunch there someday just to see if the menu is decent.

EPA location for a club might do okay, parking is more important for clubs than being next to other clubs; unlike restaurants and clothes stores. Although individual clubs tend to go into fashion and out of fashion quickly here. Or at least they did, I don't club anymore.

I went for lunch today. I've been to both TOT and Brad's on numerous occassions.

Location is easy enough to get to though obviously you pay the toll right before it. Parking is meh - alright for the first 10 cars or so, not sure where the hell you'd park after that was full.

Inside, it's clear that it's not a sports bar - it's a soccer bar. Every piece of decoration is soccer related but the overall look is pretty nice. Chairs are a bit small, and tables are right out of the multiplaza food court. Lots of TVs but not all that big, and only Sky and Cabletica - no Dish network. It took them a good 10 minutes to figure out how to put on the NFL network when we asked.

The guy serving us was pretty good; always came when called but not a lot of checking in. He was friendly but didn't appear to speak any english at all.

Menu was 100% spanish, and split into 3 menus - regular menu, drink menu, and lunch menu. Chicken wings were not very good at all - not a lot of meat on those bones, and the sauce very runny. The food in general was very soda-like - side orders on most dishes were things like plantains, rice, beans etc. Specific reviews of the food included:

Club sandwich - "an ok sandwich but no Tiger Woods"
Chicken club - "alright, but the tomato shouldn't be bigger than the chicken"
Churrasco - "bit tough but passable"

Drinks seemed fairly standard but we weren't having alcohol. Prices were ok - Total bill was about 26,500 for the three of us.

Overall impression - very nice atmosphere and arrangement - lots of space and good room and modern looking decoration. Menu pretty basic and the food unmemorable. No dish network. Looks like it would be a fun place to watch a big soccer game, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.

went friday. it was 'ok' but probably wont return. service was decent, girl was working there that used to work at le pizza/mangianao (huge ass).

was pleased to see a buffalo chicken pizza on the menu. problem is, they put the buff chix on top of a regular pizza (marinera sauce). there isnt supposed to be marinera sauce on a buff chicken pie. still edible though.

didnt have any salad on the menu which didnt bother me but it bothered the woman. so she oreders a steak and the waitress asks if she wants a salad with that. wtf, they can make a side salad for an entre but cant make a regular salad. steak sucked, which is consistent with most places around theese parts.

overall and average expereince. i envision it being packed for soccer games but not too much business otherwise. was there friday from 7-8 and there were only 3 tables occupied, including mine.

TOT cant opn soon enough IMO

Went with a buddy and shared a pitcher of beer but didn´t eat. Friendly service. As stated, no Dish Network, but they were able to find golf and basketball for us.

Definitely leans toward soccer so the World Cup there might be good if they last that long. Only two other customers besides us but it was a Thursday afternoon.

Clean, stainless steel feel but not a lot of warmth. Might take a while. Also heard Henry´s owners were involved.
