Nothing terribly promising about this guy. His stuff is not overpowering and most scouts say he doesn't have much upside potential. The chances of him making and being in the big leagues 3 to 6 years down the road is below 50%. The chances of him being an average or better player during his stay at the pro level is below 20%.

For the A's single A squad this year he has been anything but good. The team took him out of the starting rotation a couple of starts back as he can not locate his fastball. He is averaging 1.3 walks per inning, which the cocern is magnified by him not being known to overpower pitches. He hasn't proved much working out of the pen the last few games.

Safe to say this guy is a big work in progress with not many scouts expecting much out of his career.
