Pittsburgh Penguins at Detroit Red Wings (Series tied 3-3)

BY SBG Global

Stanley Cup Finals Game 7
Pittsburgh Penguins at Detroit Red Wings (Series tied 3-3)
Friday, 8:05 pm Eastern – NBC

SBG Global Opening Line: Red Wings - 170 , Total 5.5 Under - 130

The pinnacle of hockey is a seventh game in the Stanley Cup Finals. That is what players play for and get excited about. "Like every kid growing up, you play street hockey, you play in the outdoor rinks, you always dream of that opportunity," said Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby, "I've watched Game Seven on TV and you dream of making it to the NHL but always something that sticks out is playing for the Cup in Game Seven. We've got an amazing opportunity here."

SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking Red Wings at Home.

Friday’s game will be the fifth Stanley Cup finals Game 7 this decade and could be one of the better ones. Two of hockey’s biggest stars will be showcased in Crosby and Evgeni Malkin while the game is in Detroit, one of the best hockey markets in the world. There is even an intriguing storyline surrounding Marian Hossa who moved from the Penguins to the Red Wings in the off-season because he believed Detroit had a better chance to win the Stanley Cup. The cameras will definitely be on Hossa in Friday’s game. Hossa had only one shot in Tuesday’s loss and he has really not shown up in this series. "Definitely, when you haven't scored for several games, you try to do maybe too much instead of relax more. And maybe I should do it more, forget about everything and play," said Hossa.

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Friday’s game. The Penguins are 18-6 in their last 24 Friday games. The Penguins are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings in Detroit.

The Red Wings are 50-17 in their last 67 games as a home favorite. The Red Wings are 15-6 in their last 21 Stanley Cup Finals games. The Red Wings are 57-27-6 in their last 90 Friday games. The home team is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings between the two teams and the favorite is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings overall.

SBG Global Current Line: Red Wings - 185 , Total 5.5 Under - 130

The Under is 4-0 in the Penguins last 4 road games. The Under is 5-2 in the Penguins last 7 overall.

The Under is 5-0 in the Red Wings last 5 games as a home favorite. The Under is 9-3-2 in the Red Wings last 14 Stanley Cup Finals games. The Under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between the two teams in Detroit.

Watching the game on Justintv. Need to get my CBC fix. I have futures on both teams, so I will bet the under 5.5 big. Also bet the Yes on OT prop +330.

i have been a big proponent of det, however that price has me looking at the pens. Of course they have a chance, but as fair warning pointed out in another thread home teams almost always win game 7, thus the inflated line.

No money on the game, but I'll be pulling hard for Overtime.

We've really been lucky with the finals lately:

Game 7s in 2001, 2003, 2004, & 2006.

Makes up for all those years 1995 - 2000 ish when it always seemed to go 4 or 5 games.

Enjoy it everyone!

Everyone's on Detroit and the Under........ Really starting to make me think. Although everyone was on the Over 2 nights ago in NBA went over, last night everyone on under and stays under. Can the streak last?

LOL silly gamblers. Yeah the players know who everyone is on so that will change the outcome. If you see value on Pitt bet it. But don't let all the other bullshit play in your decision. LOL thats just silly.

My 2 cents..

Although the Pens have a lot of talent a win by them tonight will go down as one of the most memorable Stanley Cup Finals Game seven upsets in NHL Playoff history. The Red Wings are just so methodically excellent at Joe Louis (10-1) these playoffs. I just can't see them losing this one.

Rooting for the Pens tonight personally but don't see it happening. I hope it is a cliffhanger at least and not a repeat of game five.

wil..
