Where would you live, if you won the lottery BIG ?

I'm thinking like say 100 million big ( after taxes, and a lump sum payment). Like that young man in SD (?).

Even if you "only" got 2M a year interest from it, that gives you 5k+ a day money to spend.

I'd probably keep my modest ( 250k ish condo), just as some sort of address, then travel like crazy, maybe decide to move to somewhere like Lajolla ( SD), Hawaii, Florida keys or somewhere foreign much later. I'd honestly be traveling the world for life, and not even spend the 5k a day allowance.

I don't see how you can blow that kind of money. Gambling would be no fun.

I'd fly 1st class, but not buy a private jet, wouldn't want a Lebron style mansion, etc.

Why not fly to your destination, rent a vette or better ?

I wouldn't buy jewelry ( don't even own a watch now), wouldn't buy expensive clothes like Italian suits. I'd still be a sneakers, shorts, T-shirt guy, just a rich one !

I don't think I could spend 5k a day on average really, even if I started using cocaine... but I wouldn't go for drugs.

I'd look for a place to move to.... warm, and preferably English speaking ( primarily). It would take me years to figure out where to base myself.

The amount would be impossible to blow, no way could I do it !

A million dollar condo somewhere, maybe a vette and another car or two, a boat ? 2M or so off the top, then the 5k a day to blow.... no problem....money would outlast me.

A house in Montana for the spring season, a beach house on an island in Greece for the summers, A house in Las Vegas for football season, up around Red Rock Canyon. No need to buy any planes are 100 cars. If im gonna have some sort of entourage, its gonna consist of mostly pretty babes under the age of 30.

I have talked about this with my buddies and I can say that I don't know where I would live but I would build a "fantasy factory" much like Rob Dyrdek's MTV show. Except I'm not into skating but I would have shit like a basketball court, paintball range, a go cart track, vitural golf and a bunch of crap like that.

Just stay at a nice hotel, you'd probably gamble enough for comped everything, be right on the strip, get drunk, no driving, etc.

I don't see why a rich person would want the condo in LV ?

I'd probably rent in Lajolla, until I decided where I wanted to live for real. Why even own a place you won't spend a lot of time at ?

Hawaii would be great, but it's way out there, I could go there for a week or two whenever I felt like it, without owning a place there, with this kind of dough. Then I might go to Europe for a month or something, don't need to really own a bunch of places, IMO ! I'd settle for just a nice enough condo in one place ( like Lajolla), then always be going somewhere else on trips.

Certainly no mansion place, for me.

half is no problem, still plenty left !

$2500/ day interest to live off of.... I'm fine, still nearly a million a year to blow, w/o touching principle.

still gets me everything mentioned with ease. I don't drink $10,000 bottles of wine, or have a private jet...wasn't in the original plans, anyway.

I'm way to cheap to blow through 50M. @)

This kind of money can't be blown ( at least by me).

Kick back at home in Lajolla, for 10 days, spend "only" $500/day, you now have an extra 20k for whatever you want to do with it.

This is at like 2% interest, and never touching principle.

It's unreal that people can blow this kind of money!

I'd probably spend a large amount on rare coins, but that is not blown money, as they could always be re-sold, and likely at a profit... if you buy well.

No way I could blow multi- millions on dollars. I wouldn't gamble it away, give away too much, snort it, etc.

Shit, I'd still be wearing RX T-shirts, and such. I'd save money with the $2500/day allowance for interest, and 50M in the bank.

La Jolla as well for me. A home in Grand Cayman as well. And spend the rest of the time cruising and touring the world.
