Kobe proved all his haters wrong(including me) on the biggest stage and now has his 4th ring without his old big man body guard, and his first finals MVP which I doubt he will be letting go of any time soon. While I'm not a fan of him as a person, I would be an idiot not to respect his game as a player. He is a winner and a leader and currently is probably the best in the game with Lebron very very close on his heels. But the bottom line, its hard for me to sit here straight faced an argue that Lebron is the best in the game when he has zero rings and Kobe has 4.

I could sit here and say Kobe had a better supporting cast which he did, but I'm not. I could say the Lakers matched up better against the Magic than Cleveland , which they did, but I'm not. I will say, I enjoyed the NBA finals and the best overall team won this year. Don't think I'm backing off Lebron being the man, cause I still think he will have that title league-wise in a short time, but right now that honor goes to #24 on the Lakers ..Not #23 on the Cavs. Kobe showed his fade away, jump shot, and ability to hit Freethrows in the clutch are more valuable then Lebrons insane ability to get to the basket and pass to his open teamates ( who couldn't hit shots to save their life.)

So all the people i insulted and rediculed over last NBA season, I apologize and it looks like you guys have had the last laugh, that is until Lebron wins his ring ... which could be next year , or maybe never. I'm hoping for the sooner. Say your "I told you so's" now, cause I usually don't post threads where I admit defeat, but since I really have no other option here it is.

Yours Truly , Rupert Pupkin

I wish MJ was immortal so he could prove for all eternity that he is and always will be the greatest.
