To the blind eye seems like they may have a shot with Martis on the mound...

Martis vs LH...1.98 WHIP .326 BAA
Martis vs RH...0.77 WHIP .154 BAA
Martis Home...3.57 ERA 1.17 WHIP .210 BAA
Martis Away...7.77 ERA 1.81 WHIP .313 BAA

Yankees LH Batters:
Swisher .252 vs RHP w/ 9 HR's
Damon .295 vs RHP w/ 12 HR's
Teixeira .262 vs RHP w/ 16 HR's
Cano .297 vs RHP w/ 8 HR's
Posada .239 vs RHP w/ 8 HR's
Matsui .261 vs RHP w/ 4 HR's
Cabrera .298 vs RHP w/ 4 HR's
Gardner .280 vs RHP w/ 2 HR's

That being said...Sabathia lost to the Nats in 2002 so it's possible. We'll ignore the shutout he threw vs them last year.

Even taking the nats +1.5 +160 seems far fetched
LHB vs Martis have a OPS of .956

He's given up 19 walks against 8 K's vs LHB in 144 At bats
Only gone over 100 pitches once in his last 5 starts.

If he somehow finds the strikezone against all the Yankees LHB they could just T off on him.

There's a reason the Nats have only won 5 out of their last 25

Best bet on this game = 1st 5 over 5 1/2

Are you serious? Ignore the most recent matchup but use one from 7 years ago? In a game where the nats batted .182 against him with 3 hits?

what is the line at +2.5

5dimes has it at -110

wonder if the nats + 2.5 would be worth chasing for the series...

or if the yanks -2.5 is worth a shot.

better chance of a blowout or a close game ?

Usually yanks first 5 lines are around 6. They are giving you 5.5 so you hang yourself imo. I wouldn't doubt Martis throws a gem here

Nats -1.5 for +450 looks delicious. Nats bullpen is so bad i dont see them beating the Yanks in a 1 run game....ever

All of this is a waste of time....if Martis throws a good game the score will be around 4-2 or something like that. The Yanks wont show up till it gets tight and then Martis will give up a solo or 2 shot HR. I dont see alot of runs nor do I see a blowout in tonight's game. The Nats will hit a HR to the short porch and the Yanks will rally late to win...bank it.
