The Cubbies continue to be a huge risk and an unappealing one because of an offense that is feared by nobody. The Cubs are clawing and scratching for every single run they get these days and should they fall behind like they usually do, they’re in big trouble. Gavin Floyd is 4-5 with a 4.94 ERA but put no weight on that, as Floyd got off to a horrible start but has been one of the league’s best pitchers over his last month. In fact, Floyd is 2-1 with a 1.67 ERA in his last five outings and that includes games against the Angels, Indians and Tigers. Now Floyd will take a huge step down in class when he faces this anemic and sickening offense to wager on. The Cubs are absolutely loaded with .230 hitters and although Zambrano is capable of a gem, he still needs support to win and the Cubs cannot be trusted to deliver.
