The A’s could have trouble scoring runs on Thursday as Randy Wolf is on the mound for Los Angeles. He is 3-2 this season with a 3.41 ERA. He threw five shutout innings against the Rangers in his last start. Wolf is 1-0 in his career against the A’s as he allowed three runs in seven innings.
Vin Mazzaro gets the start for the A’s on Thursday. He is 2-1 on the season with a 1.37 ERA. Mazzaro won his first two starts but was touched for three runs in a 3-0 loss to the Giants in his last outing. It was still a quality start though as he went six innings.
