What do you think of this voided bet?

About three weeks ago I made a bet for $110 at SIA on the run line for some baseball game. The bet was made at approximately 10:00am. The game started at approximately 11:00am. I made the bet at +130. At 2:30pm (AFTER THE GAME HAD ENDED AND THE BET HAD WON) I received an email from SIA stating that the bet was a "push therefore voided". When I inquired by LiveTalk and later by email I was told that what they meant was that the line was wrong (should have been -130 instead of +130), that they saw the "bad" line and changed it for subsequent bets but they were not set up to inform people until after the game was over.
I asked them to at least pay the bet at the "correct" odds since they never informed me until the bet was decided. I also asked Sportsavant to intercede for me but he got nowhere. I have been playing with SIA for some time and intend to keep playing there.
What do you think of this? Was their handling of the problem right?
The facts of the case are documented by emails I sent to and received from SIA.

Did you know it was a bad line? Did you play it there because your other shops had the correct line?

fwiw, i was the mediator in this case, and i tried to get Billpapa ADJUSTED ODDS so that the matter could simply be settled.

SIA, was firm in their decision and their bad line rule however, they claimed that all bets with the bad line were cancelled before the game was resulted, but that it might have taken for the emails to go out from there.... they dont have a system where they can easily email all people who made a certain bet, so the email list has to be pulled manually.

My cash would have been out of there already...

Plenty of good places to play. You don't need to be fucked over like that...

If they post a bad line ok it happens, but to not pay a winning bet at the correct odds is bullshit...

Thanks you for posting this so I can mark them off my list of possible books to fund...

Its not like you were betting an NBA line +9 for a thous!! that was supposed to be -9 for fuks sake!!

there should be a Bonus Bet given if they have cancelled the bet. that is the correct thing to do.

bad business....adjusted odds should be paid. honestly i think bad lines should be paid also but thats for sure a losing battle.

SIA is a bush league book....... Baseball favorites are always high and the doggie price is never fair, also double negative juice totals..... They do pay though, but cannot even compare to Pinnacle standards of fair pricing bookmaking.

billpapa is a member of the RX since 20 May 2002. He should know better in regards to Sportsinteraction. It is just a shame that they are still a sponsor here and are even mentioned right under the well respected BetFair.

The only question is - would they have ruled it "No Action" if the dog won? Either way this is exactly why I stay away from obvious wrong lines.

If it were a good book, I would agree to pull your money out (heck I wouldn't have put money in to begin with). But since it's SIA, good look pulling your money out and actually getting it.

Betting a runline +130 when everyone else has -130 is pretty clearly a bad line (especially when it was bet at 10AM, when most books have their runlines posted, which can be used as a reference point).

If you bet the +130, especially if you bet it at SIA, you run the risk of having the bet cancelled.

You may have a gripe about them not notifying you of the cancellation before the game started, but let's not kid ourselves ... the +130 was definitely a bad line, and could legitimately be cancelled.

Pinnacle would have cancelled the bet, too ... the difference is that they probably would have e-mailed you before the game started.
