Thunderbird....can usually find it next to the 20w-50 in most of your finer gas stations...usually want to get a recent vintage, once it's expired it turns to vinegar.

It doesn't matter if it's Red or White ? It almost is impossible to make a good recommendation without knowing what wine is preferred.
If your friend likes a nice Red wine, get him a 2003 Stag's Leap Fay for about $ 75. or a 2002 Silver Oak for about $ 80. I can rattle off about 20 or 30 more but price and type are most important. My boss buys Harlan and pays over $500. a bottle. I have seen a case being inspected at the Mirage delivery dock where Mirage's cost for the 1982 Chianti was $ 6500 a bottle ! Yes I said their cost was $ 6500 a single bottle. I asked the guy what they sold it for and He said " We usually triple the price but in truth most of the bottles are comped to high rollers. I asked if my Video Poker play might qualify me for a glass or two and He replied.... If you drop a couple Million a weekend, We might just give you a couple of bottles ! My point is you must be more specific as to Red, White, Dry, Bold etc. but more important... Is this a friend, a good friend or a great friend ! :toast::lol::103631605

Well, he's a Really Good Friend. So I guess up to $500-$700 a bottle is good.
He has White, Red, etc....so not sure if the Bottle is for his own Drinking, etc...

Just thought I would get something to add to his Collection.

Fine Red wines are far more spendy than Whites. I would recommend a fine bottle of Harlan Estate 2002 Cab if you want to impress your friend. If that doesn't impress ... find another friend !
