I think this is the best bet of the night. We're either both right or not very happy.............:toast:

5 hits in 2 innings and no runs. Don't like that. That kinda stuff usually comes back to haunt you.

Well cruise, let's hope the Cubbies push something accross soon.

Cubs get 10 hits and can't find a way to push accross 2 runs, losing 2-0. Hard to do.

OK, one more time. Again, I like Houston, everyone seems to like Greinke, but he's got to 'show me' he's back in form. Now if we bomb again, I'm not uttering another word on picks...........:toast:

Sorry cruisin. Feel like I'm lettin' ya down. That's two consecutive nights my POD got 10 hits but couldn't get the needed two runs. That won't happen 20 times all year. But it happened. That's Baseball betting.

Saturday 6/27

Pit -152 Maholm (vs KCy Chen)

Ya know I hate bettin' favs but .....

Despite being cellar dwellers in the NL Central Pitt has the fourth best Home record in the NL at 20-13 (11-4 L15), behind the Dodgers, Frisco, and the Cubs (yep, the Cubs). Maholm, who has been on the road for 6 of his past 7 starts, (4 consec) is a home pitcher, going at least 7 innings in 4 of his 5 home starts, and allowing 0, 0, 1, 2, and 4 earned runs in those starts.

Today the Pirates face a recycled Bruce Chen (10th team) who hasn't started in the Majors since '07. Not sure what he'll bring but he can't be expected to go very deep which means the KCy bullpen will have to get involved. That spells trouble for the Royals.

The Royals are just 5-16 in their last 21 on the road.

Good luck.
