In the long haul, is it better to bet your 1 or 2 "strongest" plays, or do you bet every play you like even if its 3-7 plays everyday?

What has your experience been, or what do you recommend?

All Comments Are Helpful, thanks in advance!

Strongest plays. And money management, can't stress this enough.

Use a unit system that works with your bankroll and stick to it. No late game chasing, just stick to your plays.

In my opinion, if you deem a play to have value (+EV), then play it. Some days there will be one, some days there will be five. Don't set limits on # of plays per day because if you do that you'll add some poor value and skip some strong value along the way which hurts your bottom line. Just make sure your plays are +EV.

Have an idea going in how many plays per season you plan on wagering and how much bankroll you can afford to lose, and set an appropriate % for each game. If someone has 100 plays a year they can bet much more per game than someone who plays 1000 games a year.

Make sure you shop for the best lines!

You need to find a system that you will follow and have confidence that it is profitable over a long run. The number of plays is less important than the confidence in your selections. The plays must be based on long term profitability....tried a system early this season in baseball..one play a day...but did not show profit over two months....now using system with sometimes up to fifteen plays a day that is showing profit...tried to add filters to pare down the plays but they hurt the profitability so went back to my original plan and somedays have 15 or more plays....but they are profitable so far. The key is to find a profitable sytem for your selections, maybe using research to determine it before playing and than use it within your bankroll limiting your plays to 5% of your bankroll at one time. Numbers Freak's advice is excellent...he is a winner imho.

The more plays the merrier. I sometimes play up to 30 plays in one day.

What are you basing such nonsense on. Are you saying one should pass up on +EV bets that have a smaller expected ROI than larger ones? Can you please provide the underlying mathematics that show that one would increase bankroll growth via such a suggestion. If you can, you may debunk ancient old economic theory.

"Use a unit system that works with your bankroll and stick to it."
What exactly do you mean by this? Do some unit systems work better with some bankrolls and not others? How are you defining "work".

I'm just trying to help the guy out here. Shit, don't see you come in here with anything positive whatsoever. Prick.

The Unit system works for me, so I'm suggesting that he try it because he's asking for advice.
