Power Ratings Formula (june 25)

been working on a Power Ratings Formula for the past few days... Thought id post the plays, as sometimes posting the plays on a public forum, causes the system to crash and burn..

I need to look at these (playing small) for the next few days, if it looks good on July 1, ill jump headlong into it..


I started this 2 days ago and of course like most things, it has worked to the tune of a (9-3)(+6.35 units) record. This wont or will never count in any record keeping, just wanted it in the thread..

Ill move on to thursdays plays.

Cards (-1.10)
Fla (-1.20)
dodgers (-1.45)
phillies (+1.30)
rangers (-1.10)

that is all for thursday... im going to try and post these until next wednesday (july 1) and then if it still looks good, ill start a separate thread for the 2nd half of the season. the plays are not handicapped but are generated from a Power Ratings Formula, they have nothing to do with any other ratings on the internet, such as the espn ones or anything like that..

as many of you know, i pretty much spun my wheels the first half..

129-127 (+$2)..... that record is very accurate... I started off (+$4000) and promptly gave it all back..

the plays above are not meant to be followed or kept in any record.. i do have a small wager on each but the reason for posting them is, as i stated, to see how they do when posted publicly, many times that has a way of changing things. i wanted to find this out, before risking too much on them... consider all plays for one unit, standard way of betting.

im sure that by posting this publicly, it will cause the system to crash but in a way, that is what im hoping for, since i have only a very small amount on the line..

if it happens to do well over the next 6 days, ill start an entire new thread, since im about even on the year any way...

no favorites over (-1.50) will ever be played.. just call this a testing thread only and not meant in any way for record keeping..

all stats are not created equal, i think there should be many things included in a true Power Ratings formula but the difference, comes in the weighting of the stats... some things are definately more important than others..
