CLEVELAND -½ +1.04 over Cincinnati (1st 5 innings) http://www.pinnaclesports.com/?refer=xspwagers<o:p></o:p>
Unfortunately for the Reds, Toma Ohka is not pitching today. The Reds have made a slew of pitchers look good in the month of June and in fact, their team batting average this month is .233, which is dead last in the majors. That’s even worse than it is, as Cinci plays in a complete hitter’s park, making their numbers even more embarrassing. The Reds don’t have a single batter in their lone-up that instills fear into opposing pitchers. The Indians do. Grady Sizemore will get hot and is still feared, hot or not. He, along with Victor Martinez, Travis Hafner, Shin-Soo Choo and even the speedy Jimmy Carroll at the top of the line-up offer up way more trouble than the Reds pathetic line-up. David Huff has been solid. Huff pitched extremely well in his last start over the Pirates and has now won three straight decisions in four starts and has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of those four games. Micah Owings can hit but he can’t pitch. On the road he’s walked 22 batters in 47 frames while striking out just 24. His numbers at home aren’t much better. Anyway, we get the superior pitcher, the superior offense and we’ll eliminate the Indians brutal pen. Play: Cleveland in the first five innings -½ +1.04 (Risking 2 units).

Colorado +1.14 over OAKLAND http://www.pinnaclesports.com/?refer=xspwagers<o:p></o:p>
The Rockies continue to tear it up this month and took the first two games of this series without breaking a sweat. Last night’s 11-9 win looks close on paper when in fact it was not. The Rockies had an 11-2 lead late and the A’s scored seven runs in the last three innings, including four in the ninth. What we do know is that the A’s offense is a joke while the Rockies offense is in high gear. In fact, the Rockies lead the majors this month in just about every offensive category and to top that off, they’re getting tremendous pitching too. Aaron Cook can almost always be relied upon for a quality start. This guy gives up very little as he keeps the ball down and induces a ton of ground ball outs. Cook allowed one run and three hits in seven innings of an 11-1 win over the dangerous Angels on Monday. He improved to 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA in his last four starts and this assignment might just be his easiest to date. Vin Mazzaro has some pretty numbers for a guy that was just called up five starts ago. However, he’s faced the Giants twice, the O’s at in Oakland, the Dodgers in L.A., and the White Sox in his first major-league game. Mazzaro is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts after not allowing a run in the first two starts of his career earlier this month. He’s faced a soft group and now he’ll face the hottest team in baseball with virtually no offense to support him. Rockies plus anything is a gift. Play: Colorado +1.14 (Risking 2 units).

Trades have, historically, have been more trouble than they are worth (a few exceptions). George Herman (Babe) for instance.
