Even though I started a new record as of June 29th, I am still going to keep my old record posted everyday. Sort of a before and after picture of my season.

THANK GOD INTERLEAGUE IS DONE.

I am making some changes. I am no longer going to play any favorites. Look at my record….take them away and I am plus for the season. The only time I will take favorites is like I do now when they are big and I parlay two of them together. You can generally with two big favs get at least even money on a two team parlay. I have had success doing that in the past and even though I am down 4.22 units this season, I still believe in them. I am not going to play any runlines either. It is hard enough sometimes just to win a game by one run, let alone 1.5 and to bet +1.5 you usually have to lay a ton of juice.

So here goes my new beginning. I am sure the amount of plays will be cut back dramatically with the elimination of certain types of plays. Here are Mondays winners.

Parlay risking 1 unit to win 1.62 nnits

Toronto over Tampa Bay
Florida over Washington

I don’t know about other people, but I generally take Halladay at home in a parlay just about every time out. I have to parlay him because he is always a huge favorite, although not as big as usually vs Tampa Bay who is playing better ball. Florida’s Nolasco is 6-1 career vs Washington and he has a sparking 1.50 era his last three starts and of course it helps that he is pitching against the Nationals on the road. Florida all of a sudden is in third place and only a half game out of second place. This team is sneaking up on people and you cannot rule them out of winning the NL East. All the talk is Mets and Phils, and I am sure the Marlins like it that way.

Mets +119 vs Milwaukee………….Have no idea of this Nieve is pitching for the Mets, but he is 3-0 with an era of 1.31, so he has at least given this struggling Mets team a good feeling when he takes the mound. Mets also due for a win. Even while struggling they are still right in the NL East race, and need some wins as Florida is only a half game behind them. I think they are glad they are not playing the Yankees anymore either.

Colorado +101 vs Dodgers………….Most of the time I would have been all over the Dodgers who have a great home record and are a very small favorite, but that is the old me. Now I will take the hottest team in baseball and get them as a dog to boot. Won’t be easy winning in LA, but they can do it. The dodgers have done pretty well without Manny and I think it would be hilarious if they hit a losing streak once he comes back.

My new rules limit my plays. I really like the White Sox today but I said no more favorites. Hot pitcher (Floyd 1-0, 1.29 era last three starts vs cold pitcher (Pavano 0-2, 12.15 era last three starts), but I am going to stick to my guns and show some discipline for the first time this year and lay off this game. You know because I am not touching it is will be a winner.

Nothing I want more than to turn a profit tonight and get some confidence going with my new way of thinking and somehow get back into the plus for the season.

Back on Tuesday. Good Luck Everybody!!
