Hey guys! I am new to the forum. Been following it for about a year now and thought I would try and add some of my insight to the group. I will only release my 5* Best Bets as they are the only games I bet. I put a lot of hard work into my handicapping and I think you will find these to be very profitable. Hopefully, I can add some winners to the board and some cash into everyone's pockets! So here goes...

5* Best Bet: <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Detroit Tigers -110

The first thing that attracted me to the Tigers is the huge discrepancy amongst the two starting pitchers. Rick Porcello has been rock solid all year long for this Detroit Tiger club. He is 8-4 with a 3.55 ERA overall this season. In his fourteen starts, the Tigers are an astounding 10-4 straight up. What’s even more important is how he has pitched as of late. In his last three starts, he is 2-0 with an astounding 2.04 ERA. This young guy is starting to come into his own right now as he is just a rookie but has looked outstanding in his last three outings. The Tigers have won all of his last three starts and Porcello has proven he can pitch on the road. He is 5-2 with a 3.02 ERA away from home. What’s even more incredible is that the Tigers have won in his last four outings and 9 of his last ten starts. Porcello puts his team in position to wins game and that greatly favors our chances of cashing the ticket tonight.
Brett Anderson has struggled throughout 2009 as he is 3-7 with a 5.74 ERA. His numbers are even worse in his last three outings as he is 0-2 with an abysmal 8.59 ERA. The Athletics are just 4-9 in Anderson’s thirteen outings this year. He gives up a lot of hits and I look for a solid Detroit line up to capitalize on that once again tonight. Earlier in May, Anderson gave up nine runs, three of them earned in just 3 and 1/3 innings pitched. Detroit went on to win that game 14-1. Detroit swept the series with the closest game being a four run deficit. In Porcello’s only start against the Athletics in his career, he pitched six solid innings giving up just 3 hits and 1 earned run in 6 innings of work.
The A’s have struggled with hitting the ball all season long as they boast just a .238 team batting average, while the Tigers are hitting .261 as a team. The Tigers average against lefties is even higher at .271 this season. They hit Anderson hard earlier this year and I look for them to continue that again tonight. The Tigers are also the much hotter team right now as they have won 8 of their last 10 ball games; while Oakland is just 3-7 in their last ten ball games. The Tigers are slugging the ball right now, batting .285 over the course of their last ten and their bullpen is showing signs of improvement as their bullpen ERA is just 2.96 in their last ten games. I’ll take the better team, the better pitcher, the better offense, and the team that is playing much better especially at this low of a price. The Tigers are my 5* MLB Best Bet of the Day! Good luck and let’s cash this ticket!

Overall Record: 0-0

Mr. Porcello may have been 'rock solid' all year todate as you say but tonight on the west coast he's absolutely getting plain 'rocked'!
A's currently having their way with your first 5* play on the forum by leading the Tigers 4-zip.
