ok..now that im safe at work, after just 4 hours of sleep, (too much caffeine be4 my 530 pm workouts)

This boils down to value for me, game feels like coin flip situation to me. I realize the staggering numbers for marlins at 8-0 this year.

and johnsons good numbers vs the nats. The projected run totals for these two teamks are only 1/4 run apart for this game, and i feel zimmerman has an advantage over some marlins righties that have never seen him before. I feel like the marlins are the better team, but the nats are the deeper team, which could come into play, day game after nite, and early start 12 pm to boot....

Most interestingly to me is johnson and the marlins beat the nats in his last outing but the nats got 6 runs that game, and certain nats, nick johnson, and guzman have good lifetime and season numbers hitting over 333 vs him......

the marlins have never seen jordan zimmerman

i think the line reflects the sentiment that this is a getaway game for nats, and they will fold up early, and to be frank, theya re a team that has just 8 wins on the road, and 22 wins on the season. The books know we know, the Nats are supposed to lose more often than not, with a win % below .500...

I got this in at +155 and i think the way the game was called last nite right after the marlins got the lead, mightve left a bad taste in the nats mouth.......

I think at worst this game is a 1 run game, and ill back the team with the better hitters, and a chip on their shoulder. Yes the game means something to the Marlins, but they have already won the series.

The nats are not a great or even good team, but they are at least a .333 team if not a .500 team, no reason to think they cant get 1 of the three games here

willie harris always my favorite nat, great table setter, lefty/righty advantage, and has some pop, and gets lots of well timed hits

hermida, ross and baker scare me the most.........bonifacio is a joke, guy goes 30 ab's with nothing, and then gets 3 multi hit games in a row...

yeh i think zimmerman being a mystery to them will have him work past the 5th, and minimize the bullpen.....also very happy to see hanrahan shipped out, and cant come in and blow this 1, used to blow games in the 8th or 9th, and recently was being used in 5th and 6th in tight spots, traded to pirates for the speedy nyger morgan (reminds me a bif of willie harris with less pop)

it would be awesome if morgan was available to pinch run or come up in key spot to bunt, hes a good talent.

GL today Zeke. On Washington +1.5, just get the feeling Johnson has one of those "well he didn't exactly have his best stuff" games and Florida will be a bit stifled seeing Zimmerman for the first time. Just need that Nats defense to not blow it for us.

btw bro, if i may ask..what's your take on your phillies tonite? Was actually leaning towards Atlanta a bit here. Just seems like Philly is still struggling and after letting it get away from them last night, I could see Atlanta trying to make something happen here. One thing that scares me though is JJ tends to get some pretty sad run support from his Braves. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

1-0 great start...might be a +155 dog, but now favored to win this game....zimmerman doing well, and got the clutch 2 out hit

i didnt post my leans last night besides houston, but i had small bet on Atl -125...game didnt go as i planned, but braves won, my point in saying this is that i bet against phillies all the time , even with them being my team.....

that being said, the only play is take the value with hamels with short price, or stay away in this game. If the phils win, and u bet atlanta, you will be kicking urself for betting against those bats with their best arm on the mound....if the braves win, your really just getting lucky in this spot IMO.......

nats held the lead for like 5 minutes....willingham gives them lead and anderson, who i think is awful k 's looking with 1st and 3rd......

the part which i cant understand why in the world acta replaced anderson to start the next inning with belliard, a far superior hitter with a ton more experience, yet didnt hit for him in such a crucial spot.

all u need is contact and no strikeout there, and u have a 2 run lead on the road in the 7th......If he was willing to replace the inferior hitter, why not pinch hit for him in sucha crucial spot? Did he think he had the game won already with the 1 run lead?

this is why this guys job is in such jeopardy

if anyone who understands baseball saw this bullshiut he just pulled with anderson/belliard and pulling zimmerman theyd be infuriated.......he takes the guy out the following inning, and let the inferior hitter hit with 1 down and runners on the frikkin corners................

the decision to pull zimmerman obviously was a poor one, but thats more hindsight than anything.....but the way he managed his hitters/fielders is fucking terrible.....

lost internet at work during the 8th....just got home.....amazes me how many different ways these guys find to lose.......

when they went up 3-2 in the 7th, they really coulda separated by putting a legit bat up to make it 4-2 at worst, and possibly more....

But thats why this manager is on his way out, because hes not capable of doing that, despite looking like a jackass , when he makes a defensive substitution for the light hitting middle infielder that crushed the rally immediately after the inning........he cant hit, he was double switched out before taking the field, whats his use on your roster?

Zeke, you'll really like watching Morgan play. I woke up this morning and couldn't believe Pitt traded him. Really pissed me off.
Pitt doesn't want to win or contend any more, because they know they got the seats sold no matter what. Pretty sad.
