</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>The Clippers have agreed to trade power forward Zach Randolph to the Grizzlies in exchange for Quentin Richardson, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The move allows L.A. to clear space for No. 1 draft pick Blake Griffin while unloading Randolph's contract, which pays $33.3 million over the next two seasons. Richardson's deal expires next summer, giving the Clippers financial flexibility to pursue 2010's bumper crop of free agents. The deal won't be official until July 8th.

Sports is reporting that the Grizzlies are ready to offer restricted free agent David Lee anywhere from $40-50 million.
"There’s a great deal of interest in him, and a lot of teams are trying to be very creative," agent Mark Bartelstein said. While a sign-and-trade is still possible, it's looking more likely that the Knicks might lose Lee for nothing in return.

Zach, I will launch a 3 instead of passing it big I am douche bag Randolph.

Yes, great addition. NOT!

The league should fold charlotte, Memphis, Milwaukee and OKC. Teams where players go to be forgotten.

i dont like zack but i like what they are doing.

and memphis is a great market if you have a winning team. i remember when they were winning 50 games a year with sellout after sellout.

the ownership is what hurts that team and is whats making themirelevant.

When they were winning 50 games, and selling games out, the economy was not in the shape it is today. Even if they did improve next year, I find it hard to believe they would sell many games out.

Memphis is not a great market.

they proved before they could support the grizz.

like i said, the only reason they do so bad now is because of management.

i understand that.

people will fork over the money if its a good team though. regardless of economic conditions. its sad, but true lol.

if you win, they will come.

in regards to the grizz ownership, they make no attempt to win, so why should anyone pay attention to them or go to there games?

The Stu Jackson curse, that franchise will never be good. I'm still convinced SJ was a plant from the NBA to make the Vancouver team so shitty they would have to move. f them

haha,, the Stu Jackson curse for that franchise is 100% right. First ever draft pick was Big Country Reeves who ate his way out of the league after a few seasons but had a monster contract.. Drafted Steve Francis even though he made it painfully clear he wasn't gonna come to Vancouver, instead of guys like Odom that said they wanted to come there. And my favorite one of them all was drafting Antonio Daniels and then rejecting the offer from Phoenix for a straight up deal for hometown boy Steve Nash. If Nash had ended up in Vancouver that franchise would still be there. Talk about a GM completely running a team into the ground, yet the curse continues in Memphis now....

The team sucks.
The economy sucks
The city sucks for NBA. They wouldn't support the Tigers if they didn't win big either.

0-3.

I agree with bigten that NBA needs to fold 4-5 teams, I've thought this for a while. Way too many good players get trapped on bad teams because there are so many teams. 07-08 finals was a good example of this...Kobe, KG, Pierce, Allen, Gasol were the top 5 players in the series and all All-Star caliber players and all were trapped on bad teams and non-factors the year before.

I like what I see a lot this offseason, good teams getting stacked and your definitely gonna have some battles next year with Cle, Bos, SA, Orl, LAL, Den all being very legit...

I can see signing Randolph but Lee sucks.

As for their fans, back when they made the playoffs as an 8 seed (or whatever low seed they were in 2006), their crowd was as loud as I've ever heard a home teams fan base ever for an NBA team. Sacramento Kings loud...

I made $50 from the BC Draft, I told a friend Vancouver will probably draft a White Guy first, we bet $50 and Bam

zach randolph is going to throw some major hissy fits living in Memphis. There's definitely going to be some marijuana possessions this year.

like i said, if they win, theyll come.

memphis is a great, great hoops market but the fans have had no reason to come with the new ownership.

when they care about winning, which it looks like they are starting to now, it will be one of the top home courts in the league like it was before.
