I always laughed at those people who said the nba needs to reseed because one conference is so much better then the other. any idiot knows things eventually level out.

you have super lineups forming with some of these teams.

Celtics already have one with 4 all star caliber players in Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett.

Cavaliers have one, a more defensively oriented with 3 all star caliber players in james, mo williams, and shaq.

Magic have one with 4 all star capable players in Howard, Nelson, lewis, carter. some say carter isnt anymore, i disagree. not as good as he used to be, but i think he'll shine in orlando.

Pistons have one with Hamilton, Gordon, Stuckey, Prince, Villanueva. Hamilton, Prince, Gordon are already all star level worthy, Stuckey will be one for years to come and villanueva is a solid forward, not all star worthy though imo.

So you have these 4 super teams that take talent from mediocre Eastern teams and the West.

Then you have solid teams, not littered with all star talent, but are definently capable. Those teams are as follows:

Chicago: Rose is a top 3 PG, yes top 3. Salmons was a great find, and they get Deng back next year. im also right high on tyrus thomas.

Wizards: yes the wizards. the only reasoni didnt have them in the super lineup category was because there guys are always injured. they have a solid trio though.

Atlanta: dynamic duo in smith and johnson. horford is an emerging center and marvin williams is good.

Miami: they are at the bottom of this, but they got Wade so they have to be mentioned. they need more guys though.

I would take the East's super top 4 over the top 4 in the west, and I think the top 8 is a push imo. Without yao, I think its more like 7 vs. 8.

LA, Utah, Denver, Portland, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio are my west top 8.

Can't argue that GTC

"The West is so much better than the East" has been far exaggerated the last several years.

Even with the Pistons, Celtics, and Heat winning 3 of the last 6 titles from the East people STILL make that claim for some reason......:think2:

I agree that as a whole the East is better than the west, but the west probably has 2 or 3 of the top 3-4 teams in all of the NBA and the championship will remain in the west this year

i dont know addiction, in my top 4 you have to have cleveland and boston. LA from the West, then you couuld make a case for Orlando even in that top 4.

could have 3 of the top 4 from the east.......

The West has had the edge past several seasons, but it's also worth noting that they have had three or four of most crappy clubs each year (Min, OKC, Mem, LAC this past year), thus helping their conference top eight appear a bit fatter than the top eight in East.

I'm a fan of the East, but get real already. The West has been absolutely dominate, and will remain the better conference until proven otherwise.

They have destroyed the East in the season series in 9 out of 11 seasons, with the East winning by relatively margins in 99 & 09, with the West owning everything in between.

The West has also had the eventual champion 8 out of those 11 seasons.

From where I'm sitting, there is no debate.

im talking now. recent history says yes the west has been better.

like i said though, i believe the east has 3 of the top 4 teams in orlando, boston and cleveland.

The west may be better 1 through 8, but the east is top heavy better.
