thats a great point and Elvis is the only singer in the Gospel, rock and roll and Country halls of fame.

aww man>>>Harrington u and I both love the Bills but i guess we dont share the same opinions on singers....just dont know how u can say Elvis was overrated?He could sing any style of music and has such appeal to all ages and is still making money today. U mention all the attention he got,I think has a lot to do with the time he came onto the music scene when radio stations werent playing Black artists until he came along.People talk about MJ making the breakthrough for Black artists when it was actually Elvis.............but hey ur entitled to ur opinion and i respect that but I just hope our dam Bills can finish better than 7-9 for the 1st time since Dickie boy has taken over.

Handsome guy with a powerful, soulful yet silky smooth voice. People thought he was black when they first heard him on the radio. And had hip shaking moves on stage to make the ladys quiver. He was also a pretty decent actor, starring in many movies. The guy was just the whole package. Nobody had seen anything like it at the time. Just like the Beatles, just like Michael. Once in a long while an act like this comes along.

He has sold more records than any solo recording artist in history.

I saw him live in concert in Portland, Oregon back in 1968 as I recall. It was prior to his going into the Service. Those were the good old days when He was in his prime. He performed at the old Multnomah Stadium which was the Portland, Beaver's Ballpark. Great performer ! I loved the Elvis back when He was trim and in great shape. I hate how all the Elvis impersonators always dress up in those white clown suits and play the Big fat out of shape Elvis. Almost all of Elvis's great hits were made in the 50's and early 60's.
