That is the most ridiculous reasoning I have heard in a long time. I won on the Cards yesterday(as a Cub fan) and I like the Cubs today. Lilly earned his spot on the all-star team. With his 3.35 ERA and if he had recieved any run support he probably would be sitting on 11 or 12 wins. Calling this line a result of people chasing yesterday's losses shows how much you really know.
This is simple. If you like STL today then say you like the price on a STL team that is playing better baseball than the Cubs right now. You don't need to attach hypothetical system plays and theories about yesterday's losers to it. I simply like the Cubs today because they are one of the better home teams in the league and they have a huge pitching advantage. And those are facts.

The cubs have averaged 3.7 runs for him in the last 10 starts(6-4) and 5 of those 10 were 1 run games. the 3 runs in the first were a gift ansd I doubt they score more...
Cards +1.5(-130) was the best bet IMO..glad I took it even though they are down now 3-1

long way to go...lol 5 runs on 5 hits...this team is pathetic...somehow I have a feeling Marmol or gregg will have a say in this...still though who would wager the cubs @ -200?...I did'nt play this big or anything but I just can't see the cards laying down to this sad sad team...tony shoulda pulled thompson earlier....but o'well D lee(their only threat) is out for the game..so lets get to swingin cards

If not for a lazy play by the Cub 2nd baseman Ted Lilly would have a 2-hit shutout going.
