Hamels is a gascan. The good news is you can use Vegas' stupidity against them when Hamels pitches. I've never seen a pitcher so overvalued by Vegas. It's unreal. The Phillies being -230 or so tonight is without a doubt the biggest line mistake of the year. Philly is the better team with the better offense, and they are playing at home, but Pittsburgh had the edge on the mound with Ohlendorf going tonight. Philly probably should have been -140 or -150.

No wonder they are trying to get Halliday, their Ace wouldnt even be the Ace on the Washington Nationals with his numbers.

Hamels' key numbers so far this year...

WHIP - 1.41
BAA - .304
ERA - 5.02

Those are way below average numbers, yet every time he takes the bump Vegas makes him an astronomical favorite. I have to assume at some point they will figure it out. Right?

I hate when I don't follow my fucking gut instinct. The Pirates kept jumping out at me and so did the A's. I didn't bet on either but I have the Phillies in a parlay.

I'm just sick of seeing what I think is a good play and then looking at the ML and thinking "there's gotta be a reason why the Phillies are such huge favorites."

pretty terrible indeed...

Would almost be tempted to double my giants-bet to make up for this but NO, shouldn't chase my (probable) losses... money management is the key... money management...

it takes a lot of discipline to not pull the trigger on something else after a tough loss... good luck
