Looks like Ivey is making a nice run. He has 2.7 million right now. Chip leader is at 5.7. There is about 100 players left.

Also Dennis Phillips is proving not to be a one hit wonder. He is making another deep run. If he can get to the final table that would be a huge feat.

Eastgate is also still in it. He has been a bit short stacked today but he is still in it.

How does the tourney work?

You play the 1st day or whatever day you are schedule and then do they come back like a week later or what is the remaining schedule.

Are a certain number of players to be cut per day? If they remain, do they just continue playing until it reduced to X amount?

they had 3 day 1's. The size of the field is huge. I think they also needed 2 day 2's. They play a certain amount of levels till the field shrinks. Started with 6500 people.

Now down to 100. The final 9 will be at the final table. They are garunteed a million.

Ivey just added another 500,000. That would be great to see him make the final table.

It is hard to believe that this guy is already out!

He had a HUGE lead early and was the first one to 1 million chips. He is one of the hottest players on the circuit too

Ivey at 5 million look out. He likes to run over the table when he gets chips.

He might get to 8-10 mil or go busto.

anyone ever tells ya poker is all luck just show them the winners of this years events....massive fields and 2 guys each won 2 bracelets....and another won 3...

if ivey takes this down it would be his 3rd this year...guy is the best player in the world by a wide margin.....will play any form of poker for the highest stakes....saw one of his interviews a few days ago where he played 48hours straight at bobbys room and then went straight to the rio for his day1 main event....said he was playing NL$2K-$4K 2-7 triple draw...one of the 1st times he has ever even played that form of the game.....guy is sick....

I have been following this since day 1. I would love to see Ivey take it down and how about Dennis Phillips still alive. He has definitely quieted the critics.

Jeff Shulman

This could end up being one of the best WSOP's in years.

The most remarkable feat though is that Dennis Phillips is still left. Finished 3rd last year and still alive this year. It would be similar to Dan Harrington making the final table 2 years in a row if he sticks around.
