This is probably a gimme for you baseball fans. Especially wil.

Heard this one on the A's game.

Who is the only player to win the World Series MVP that played on the losing team?

No googling.

Bobby Richardson(NY Yankees--1960). I was devastated when Mazeroski hit his famous home run off Ralph Terry.

However

Ralph Terry (an excellent pitcher in his prime) redeemed himself by winning game 7 of the 1962 World Series for The Yankees over the San Francisco Giants 1-0.

Terry had a no hitter going until the 6the inning - who broke up the no-no?

Also that game seven in 62 is famous for a baseball oddidty - can anyone describe it?

wil, I remember Richardson catching a line drive for the final out off McCovey. A few years later on Christmas day, I caddied for Mickey Mantle(OKC Country Club) in a group with Allie Reynolds, Ralph Terry, and Joe Don Looney Sr.

Are you playing with Pujols on the next homestand? Or is that the week that you play with Jordan?

I could retire if I ever got the chance to play high stakes golf with Jordon. The only problem is he is a fukn STIFF!

Bobby Richardson did snag McCovey's hot liner to end the game but that is not an oddity. I am talking about an oddity that rarely happens in any baseball game never mind game 7 of the WS.

Wasn't that series delayed about 4 days because of constant rain.

That was the whole series not something that happened in just game 7.

The only run that was scored in the game was when Tony Kubek grounded into a double play.

Name one of two pitchers that has at least 1 win before he was age 20 and 1 win when he was over 40.

Great question. I'll guess Frank Tanana for one.

What venue hosted a MLB All Star Game, an NCAA final four, and a World Series?

Great question Oakas, I am going to have to think about it.

In the meantime: Name the first & only 300 game (or more) winner to pitch a complete game shutout during his three-hundredth win.
